I co-founded Lord of the Fries and helped take it from a single food van to a franchise network of nearly forty stores across Australia and New Zealand — over twenty years building the operations, training systems, and structure that let a fast-growing business stay standing. I exited the business in 2024.

Here’s what I learned doing it: the businesses that scale well and the businesses that scale and stay whole are not the same businesses. The second kind starts with purpose and builds structure around it — not the other way around.

That’s the work my team and I do now. I’m surrounded by a trusted circle of peers who’ve built and run their own large-scale businesses, plus accountants, marketing and PR specialists, and lawyers I know well and can connect you with as needed — so whatever stage your business is at, you’re never working with just one perspective. Every business I work with gets assessed through the same lens I built scaling Lord of the Fries — Soul, Self, System, Scale.

  • Soul — why the business exists, and whether decisions are actually aligned with that purpose

  • Self — the leadership at the centre: the habits, mindset, and mindfulness that determine how you lead the business and lead yourself within it

  • System — the offers, pricing, model, operations, SOPs, training, and compliance — everything that has to hold together for the business to run

  • Scale — what’s actually repeatable, and what breaks the moment you grow. Whether that means franchising the model, opening multiple sites, expanding your offerings to increase profit, or building the business to sell — Scale is where we get specific about which path you’re on, and what it actually requires

Most businesses I meet are stuck in one of these four places. The work starts with finding out exactly which one — then building the fix that gets you to wherever “scale” actually means for you.
